Working with Denise proved to be an awesome overall experience! My schedule is chaotic and coupled with the challenge of COVID-19, social distancing and scheduling conflicts, Denise was super flexible and accommodating to ensure my pup (Ms Crockett) and I received the much needed training. We acquired our little dog Gemini when our granddaughter couldn't take care of her. Not having a dog for over 35 years, we employed Denise to help train Gemini. Denise is simply the most professional dog trainer we've met. Not only did Gemini behave properly, she actually enjoyed the training. Denise's ability to communicate with the dog is incredible, as is her methods of kindness and love to train our dog was extremely effective. When we installed our doggie door, we called Denise to train Gemini to use the door and within a day of the training session, Gemini was using the door. we highly recommend Peaceful Paws Puppy and Dog Training. We have always had smaller dogs, so when we became new family to a rottie, Athena, we knew we would need guidance in making sure she becomes well trained. Of course, it's a process that requires much work, but all of Denise's guidance is amazing! I don't think anyone else could have helped us more. She has an incredible amount of knowledge in how to train a furry child, gives you the "why" you should do something a certain way, and to us the very best thing about her is that anytime we have a question we can call or text and she responds quickly. I never liked the idea of a training collar,, but she gave us good instructions on how to use it and honestly cleared up the fears I had of using one. Denise is wonderful! I have a very sweet, smart and strong willed German Shorthair Pointer puppy named Jackson. I also have MS. Peaceful paws is exceptional, professional and outstanding in all aspects. You not only taught my doggo Goldie but I as well to stop and breath and be calm and everyone will be calm. Goldie had no skills in greeting people or proper manners outside or inside of the house. A basic wild child and you came and help calm the fur child down but we are still a work in progress and hope to continue with your help to get this puppy to grow into an exceptional adult doggo. Growing up with and being close to dogs all my life, I thought I knew everything I needed to know about the species if presented with a problem. When my wife and I had our first child, we were faced with a new challenge that we knew we needed a professional’s help with; our newborn son had become mobile and was making our normally loving dog anxious and defensive, even growling at our son. Denise was very serious and quick to come up with a plan to help our family by keeping our son safe. We learned that by treating our dog “like a human” (letting him be in charge of himself with almost no rules to follow), made him feel like he had to defend himself against our curious, energetic, and sometimes loud son. Our dog needed pack leaders to let him know he’d be safe and protected around our son. We learned that being “pack leaders” doesn’t mean being “mean” or having to “treat your dog like a dog;” it just means letting your dog know that you’re the leader of the “pack,” and giving him or her rules and structure to follow. We learned that our dog seems to be happier with rules and structure in his life and is far quicker to learn! After a couple of months of training, we are happy to say that our dog is much more calm and has not shown signs of being anxious around our son in several weeks. And, to our surprise, our dog passed his Canine Good Citizen test while in training (even though we did not take the CGC class). He still has a few things to work on, but he’s now one of “those dogs” that people point out, watch, and compliment in public for being so well trained and behaved. Just the other day, a lady at Home Depot told me I have an “awesome dog” after watching him wait patiently by my side while I shopped. I was so proud of my newly well behaved boy! Working with Denise has been very fun! My family, including our dog, looked forward to our training session with her each week. Denise is a true professional; she always arrived on time, was flexible, listened to our concerns, answered texts or phone calls quickly, always had an answer to our questions, conducts everything from puppy to service dog for people with disabilities training, and was very knowledgeable in and loves what she does. The most important thing is that she, along with our family’s work, accomplished the goal we originally hired Denise for, which was to keep our son safe. For that we are truly grateful. If you need help with a behavioral problem or would just like a better behaved dog, we cannot recommended Denise enough. You and your dog will not regret it!

We wanted to introduce a new dog to our family but we knew our pit wasn't overly friendly towards other dogs. He is the smartest dog I have ever owned and he loves all his people but I feared he was content being an only child. My wife and I worked with Denise and learned he was nervous but not aggressive. Sadly we moved out of state before we could finish all of our lessons but we learned a lot and hope to continue his training at our new home. Denise is very dedicated and clearly loves what she does. I am currently working on service dog training with Denise. She is AMAZING!! My SD I'm training is also the first dog I've ever owned. That being said, Denise is really patient with me as I learn how to be a good dog owner as well as train my dog. Our trainer Denise has been such a great help with our crazy puppy. We hired her when the pup was 5 months old . We were in desperate need of training . Our pup was pottying in the house even though we had designated a spot for her to go. It was exhausting cleaning up after her all day.
